my mom, sister, and i drove across the country!

in the car, michelle alternately napped and played yoshi's world on nintendo DS.  mom took pictures and practiced the thumb cymbals for her bellydance routine.  i listened to this american life and played scrabble with michelle.

although we didn't stop anywhere for long, we saw some cool things.  at yellowstone, there were bison and geysers and a gorgeous canyon.  i loved the drive through wyoming!  cool rocks, wind-ey roads, not much traffic.  there were also mounds of red dirt covered with green grass!  we had fun in south dakota, where we checked out mt. rushmore and the badlands and stopped for an hour to try out a human-sized maze!  in chicago, we took an evening boat ride around lake michigan and the river.

now i'm in my princeton apartment.  my things haven't arrived yet, so the space doesn't feel like mine yet.  hopefully it will very soon, though.
