notes

a relaxing three-day weekend, mostly around the house.  highlights:

• couch potato.  tampopo, avatar, the wire, and the lives of others.
  
• college friends!  kate's kitchen and hanging out with sammy, kammy, jimmy, harry, and drew.  jimmy's housewarming later.
  
• bike shopping.  should i get this bike?
• other delicious things:  thirsty bear, baked grapefruit ginger tea bread (a little too sweet for my taste :), french toast with john & company, lucca's ravioli, and chilango.  today i am also making my first niu rou mian (taiwanese beef noodle soup), based on mom's rather vague instructions.
  
• brew day!  making a bock, our first step into lagering.
