almost there

i passed the qualifying exam, hooray!  1 more paper and 1 more final to go!

next week, michelle and i are driving across the country together and picking up my mom along the way.  i'll see my my parents (again) for graduation.

the carbon emissions and inefficiencies involved in this plan are staggering, i know. 

oh well, life is not a series of functions that you optimize!
