iceland highlights

• wandering around the streets of reykjavik.  also, enjoying the nice studio apartment.
• hiking for four-days in the highlands from landmannlauger to thorsmork.  the landscape is stunning! black lava rocks; orange, yellow, white, blue clay; neon green moss; white cotton puffs; and sometimes blue sky.
• driving the unpaved and pot-holed roads of the westfjords.  beautiful fjords, not so beautiful weather.
• enjoying numerous geothermal hot pots.  blue lagoon, municipal pool, hidden and unhidden pools overlooking fjords, pool right next to the ocean, and natural hot springs.
