westerns

i watched a lot of tv when i was a kid, many of them westerns:

• the lone ranger.  the black and white version that ran in the fifties.  high-oh silver!  it's about a masked texas ranger, his american indian friend tonto, and his horse silver righting injustices in the wild west.
• the rifleman, my favorite. it's about a widowed rancher raising his son.
• bonanza.  it's about the cartwright family and their life on the ponderosa ranch.
• little house on the prairie. adapted from the laura ingalls wilder books. 
• grizzly adams.  a wilderness man and his grizzly bear friend.
• there was dr. quinn, medicine woman when i was a bit older.
