in my head:
- love doesn't mean very much without commitment.
- and commitment is real only when you're willing to give up something.

i think that learning to compromise without losing yourself is one of the toughest lessons for independent women. but i think relationships really are about both people caring enough about the other to work out an "us" that both can flourish in.
